Graveyard Shift is a rich, atmospheric fragrance built around the contrast between warm amber and earthy oakmoss. Notes of amber and sage establish the fragrance with a warm, aromatic opening, while oakmoss, orange zest, and tonka bean add depth and complexity through the heart. Lavender, grapefruit, and rose musk settle into the background, creating a surprisingly balanced finish that is earthy and masculine without becoming overly heavy. Handcrafted in small batches in the USA using our Founders Recipe, the Graveyard Shift is made through the traditional cold process method, allowing us to build the bar slowly from a carefully selected combination of oils and butters rather than relying on a mass-produced detergent base. Coconut oil provides the cleansing performance and abundant bubbles expected from a well-made bar of soap, while olive oil contributes a smoother, more conditioning skin feel. Palm oil gives the bar structure and durability, while sweet almond oil and mango butter add richness and contribute to a softer, more luxurious wash. Castor oil helps round out the formulation by supporting a dense, creamy lather that feels substantial from the first pass to the final rinse. Activated charcoal adds another dimension to the experience, helping absorb excess oils and contributing to that deeply clean, refreshed feeling after washing. Super-fine pumice powder provides a more substantial physical exfoliation than our lighter-grit bars, helping to polish away rough, dry skin while giving the soap a satisfying, hardworking texture without relying on large, abrasive particles. A small amount of sugar is also incorporated into our Founders Recipe to encourage an even more generous lather, giving the Graveyard Shift the kind of suds that make a long shower feel entirely justified.
