Foam of the Brave takes a traditionally sweet fragrance profile and gives it a decidedly more rugged backbone. This bar combines cool vanilla and a touch of lavender with smoky woods and deep musk, creating an aroma that is warm and inviting without drifting into dessert territory. Beneath the subtle sweetness are cedarwood, patchouli, smoke, woods, and musk that give the fragrance its depth and masculine character.

Like every bar in the Founders Series, Foam of the Brave is handmade in small batches in the USA using the cold process method. Our Founders Recipe was formulated around a carefully balanced combination of oils and butter rather than relying on a single ingredient to do all the work. Coconut oil creates the abundant bubbles and cleansing action you expect from a great bar of soap, while olive oil helps give the finished lather a softer, more conditioning character. Palm oil provides the structure and durability necessary for a substantial bar, while sweet almond oil and mango butter add richness and contribute to a smooth, velvety skin feel. Castor oil helps round out the lather, giving the suds a creamy density that makes the entire washing experience feel elevated.

Sugar is included in our Founders Recipe to help encourage a more generous, bubbly lather, while kaolin clay lends additional slip and smoothness to the wash. Poppy seeds give Foam of the Brave a satisfying physical texture and medium exfoliation, helping to buff away rough, dry skin while making this bar feel every bit as hardworking as its name suggests.

The finished bar strikes a deliberate balance between comfort and grit: warm vanilla and lavender on one side, smoky woods and exfoliating poppy seeds on the other.
